Announcements for February 25th 2023

- Since the Lenten Season is a time for praying, fasting and giving. The St. Thomas More Social Justice Commission is sponsoring a giving project based on the Corporal Works of Mercy. Giving tags for each of the Corporal Works of Mercy are displayed on 3 crosses in the Gathering Space. There are many worthy organizations represented in each category including, local, national, and international groups and charities, and the Rice Bowls for Catholic Relief Services. Works of Mercy prayer cards with artwork by Jo Myers-Walker are on the table by each door.

-Please join the Racial Equity Initiative  Sunday, February 26th at 5PM to view the film "Going Home Like a Shooting Star: Thea Bowman's Journey to Sainthood". The film tells the story of Sister Thea, a Black Franciscan sister who challenged the church and society to grow in racial justice. Dinner will be provided and families are welcome!"

-Beginning this week, an extra daily mass will be offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. throughout Lent.  An hour of Eucharistic Adoration will follow the Wednesday evening mass.

-Rice Bowls are available in the Gathering Space. Please take a rice bowl home for your Lenten sacrifices. Rice bowl offerings for Catholic Relief Society will be collected during Holy Week at the Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper.
