OUR 75th YEAR!
In 1944, Bishop Henry Rohlman founded St. Thomas More Church in Iowa City and named Fr. Robert Brugman as it's first pastor. This year, 2019, marks our 75th year as a parish. Since June 22 is the Feast of our Patron, Saint Thomas More, at every Mass on the weekend of June 22/23 we will offer a Mass of Thanksgiving in honor of all those who have worked to form our parish community and for all who are continuing to follow the Holy Spirit in leading us into the future. Plan to partake in some anniversary cake after each Mass!
We enter the month of June with a great prelude to our 75th celebration with the musical production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR on Friday, Saturday and Sunday May 31 - June 2.
We have so much to thank God for and so much to look forward to.
