Announcements for February 19th, 2023

-Lent begins this Wednesday. Ash Wednesday masses are at 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The Annual ASH Wednesday No-Meat Soup Supper will take place after the 6 p.m. mass. Free will donations will be collected for the St. Thomas More Discretionary Fund for those in need.

- It’s Mardi Gras weekend. A Belgian waffle and sausage breakfast is served Sunday until 1:30 pm. Cost is $15 for adults, $6 for ages 6 -10 years old and no cost for children under the age of 6.  You can still purchase raffle tickets and bid on silent auction items. All proceeds allow our youth to attend the National Catholic Youth Conference

-"Please join the Racial Equity Initiative next Sunday, February 26th at 5PM to view the film "Going Home Like a Shooting Star: Thea Bowman's Journey to Sainthood". The film tells the story of Sister Thea, a Black Franciscan sister who used her powerful gifts to educate and challenge the church and society to grow in racial inclusivity. Dinner will be provided and families are welcome!"

-If you have not already done so, please renew your subscription to the Catholic Messenger. If you have lost your envelope, you can simply write “Catholic Messenger” on the memo line of your check made out to St. Thomas More. Cost is $30. The parish is billed for all subscriptions and your payment helps us defray the cost.

-Regina's Kindergarten Round Up was rescheduled to Tuesday, February 21st at 6:00-7:15 PM.  Parish members who have a child that will be 5 years old by September 15th are invited to attend. If there are any questions, please reach out to Pam Schowalter, Regina Admissions Director.
