Capital Campaign - GMIF (Growing More in Faith):

In addition to our operating funds, we are also excited to invite you to support our Capital Campaign, GMIF (Growing More in Faith). Through this campaign, we aim to invest in the future of our parish by funding an essential new worship space.

St. Thomas More Parish has experienced remarkable growth since its inception in Coralville back in 2009. Initially welcoming 600 registered households, our parish family has flourished over the years. By February 2020, we proudly served nearly 1,400 households. Fast forward to August 2022, and our family has grown even larger, now boasting over 1,600 registered households as of early 2024.

With this exponential growth, our current worship space faces significant challenges. Designed to accommodate 475 individuals, it often falls short during weekend masses, leaving a significant number of parishioners without seating. It's not uncommon for 50 to 75 individuals to find themselves directed to overflow areas such as the multipurpose room or lower levels during services. This challenge becomes particularly evident on Easter Sunday, a day of celebration and reflection for our community, where attendance at two masses surpassed 900 and 950 individuals, respectively.

Despite these challenges, the spirit and devotion of our parishioners remain unwavering. Our collective commitment to worship and fellowship continues to inspire and uplift. As we embark on the next chapter of our parish's journey, we recognize the need for a new worship space that can comfortably accommodate our growing family. It is a space where we can gather in unity, celebrate our faith, and deepen our connections with one another and with God.

Together, let us embrace this opportunity to build a sanctuary that reflects the vibrancy and vitality of our parish community. Your generous support and contributions will help us create a sacred space where all are welcome, and where the spirit of St. Thomas More can thrive for generations to come. Join us as we embark on this transformative endeavor, and together, let us build a home where faith can flourish. Donate now on line by clicking either link button below or find out more about the project including pledge options on our GMIF webpage.

Your generosity makes a real difference in the life of our parish community. Thank you for your continued support and commitment to St. Thomas More! Your contributions to St. Thomas More are greatly appreciated!
