St. Thomas More Parish Religious Education Program serves grades K-8. Classes are held weekly from September-April. Fantastic, faith-filled volunteer catechists and catechist assistants lead the students on their journey to grow in Catholic faith through prayer and service, as well as through the Finding God (Loyola Press) textbook series. Grades 6-8 use the Connect Series from St. Mary's Press. Please prayerfully consider helping our youth grow in their faith by volunteering to be a catechist, team catechist, catechist assistant, or a substitute.  There are opportunities available at each grade level (K – 8th grade) and stipends are available.  All of our volunteers must complete a background check and online Safe Environment Training.

First Eucharist/First Reconciliation Information
Registered Parish Families of 2nd graders seeking to receive the Sacrament of First Eucharist should contact Shannon Duffy.

Basic Guidelines for First Reconciliation and First Communion include:

  • Family is registered at St. Thomas More.
  • Child's baptismal certificate must be provided.  If the child was baptized at St. Thomas More, we have their record.  Otherwise, parents need to contact the parish where their child was baptized.
  • Child should attend religious education classes at Regina Elementary or St. Thomas More.
  • Families should attend Mass, parent meetings, and religious education classes to the best of their abilities.
