Fleece Blanket Kit Drive

Social Justice Commission is sponsoring a Fleece Blanket Drive

Iowa MOST Blanket Drive

Miles of Smiles Team – Guatemala Mission

This January, the Iowa MOST (Miles of Smiles Team) will return to Huehuetenango, Guatemala, for another week of providing life-changing surgery and medical care to children and families in need.

While children are in surgery, families often wait for hours—praying, hoping, and trusting. During that time, they are offered a fleece blanket to tie together as they wait. That blanket then goes home with them as a sign of comfort, care, and love during a difficult moment.

How You Can Help

We are collecting fleece blanket kits or pre-cut fleece to support this meaningful ministry.

Blanket guidelines:

  • Approximate finished size: 50” x 60”
  • Fleece should be cut but NOT tied
  • Kits or cut fleece only (no finished blankets)

Drop-Off Information

Blanket kits may be dropped off:

  • In the Fair Trade Room, or

🗓 Deadline: January 11, 2026
