The four Catholic bishops of Iowa, through the Iowa Catholic Conference, have released a new pastoral reflection on the Church’s teaching on immigration and the dignity of every human person.

Entitled “Pilgrims of Hope: A Pastoral Reflection on Immigration,” the letter invites the People of God to live out the Gospel by:

Welcoming the stranger

Defending the oppressed

Standing in solidarity with the displaced

As children of God, we are all created in His image and likeness. May this reflection inspire us to see Christ in one another and respond with compassion and justice.
