The parishioners of St. Thomas More Parish in this photo offer a display of support for our LGBT brothers and sisters during Pride Month in a manner that is consistent with our Catholic faith. We affirm the teaching from the Catechism of the Catholic Church which states that LGBT persons “must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided” (CCC 2358). In witness to our faith in Jesus, who stood with those on the margins of society, we stand with our LGBT brothers and sisters affirming pride in their dignity and worth.
