The Social Justice Commission at St. Thomas More allocates tithing grants twice a year, in February and August. The money for tithing comes from the church’s tithing grant budget, proceeds from Fair Trade sales, and occasionally grants from Rice Bowl donations. When you purchase Fair Trade products you are giving twice. You are supporting the dignity of workers from around the world, and you contribute to organizations in our local community, our state, and worldwide, who perform The Works of Mercy every day.

We are inviting you to submit Tithing Grant Applications for our August grant allocations. Paper applications will be available at a table next to the FairTrade coffee shelf, or printed by clicking here, and applications may also be filled out online by clicking here.  Applications will be accepted beginning on January 13, 2024 and ending on February 5, 2024 .
