---This Advent season you are invited to participate in Waiting Well with Fr. Mike Schmitz. A daily prayer journal designed to help you slow down for 10-15 minutes a day. An optional small discussion group will be held weekly to share your experiences with the journal during Advent. Please see the bulletin announcement if you are interested in participating.
--- Thank you to all who have pledged to the annual diocesan appeal. We are 83% of the way to our goal. For those who haven’t pledged envelopes and information to pledge are on the table by the Kiosk in the Gathering Space.
---This weekend our stewardship spotlight is on the Social Justice Commission. This commission works to raise awareness of the many needs of the poor and hurting in our society and find ways to respond. Please stop by their table in the Gathering Space after mass to see how you can be involved.
---This weekend we are also spotlighting our Stephen Ministry. Our Stephen Ministry provides one-on-one, confidential, Christ-centered care to people facing a difficult time in their lives, such as the loss of a job, death of a loved one, a medical or relationship crisis, or any situation that feels overwhelming. Stephen Ministers are proactive listeners providing comfort and support. We currently have 15 active Stephen Ministers who are trained to support those who are suffering. They serve St Thomas More parishioners or anyone in the wider community.
Stop at their table after Mass if you, or someone you know, might be interested in learning more about how a Stephen Minister can provide support.
